In a beautiful verdant landscape, there is an oasis of water related to the precious water supply of Athens.
It is an unknown river, the “haunted stream” as it is called by the residents, which is only 1000 meters long and ends in the lake of Marathon.It was created for the water supply needs of the artificial lake of Marathon. Its waters come from the Polydendri Water Treatment Plant, which receives quantities of water from Lake Yliki and Mornos.
